The Amerigo Vespucci and the USS Independence
The aircraft carrier USS Independence sails alongside the Italian Navy ship, the Amerigo Vespucci in the Mediterranean in 1962. The carrier was decommissioned in 1998, while the tallship is still used as a training ship, with a home port of La Spezia, Italy.
