Reliance

The Start of the 1903 America’s Cup, between Reliance, entered by the New York Yacht Club, and Shamrock III, entered by the Royal Ulster Yacht Club. This was the 12th challenge for the America’s Cup.
Although the two gaff rigged cutters look very similar, Reliance was designed by Nathaniel Herreshoff, and Shamrock III was designed by William Fife. Reliance was 144 ft. in length, and 199 feet tall. Reliance ended up taking the series.
In the dry dock photos, Reliance has the dark bottom paint.
